Catamaran lifting in Darwin

A multihull needs a lifting conversation that starts with its shape and dimensions. Spot On Marine has a Roodberg 60 tonne trailer for handling suitable vessels, including catamarans. Contact the Darwin yard to discuss your boat before making arrival plans.

Give us the complete picture

For a catamaran enquiry, include overall length, maximum beam, draft and current vessel weight. Share the make and model, photographs and any manufacturer information about lifting or support points. Details of the hull layout and equipment below the waterline help the team understand what needs to be assessed. The trailer’s rated capacity does not mean every vessel below that weight can be accommodated.

Suitability comes first

The team needs to confirm the handling method for your individual vessel. If you are unsure of the weight, measurements or lifting information, highlight the missing details in your enquiry. Do not choose a lifting arrangement from a capacity figure alone. We also operate a 50 tonne travel lift with a 6.1 metre wide beam, and can discuss which equipment may be appropriate after reviewing your boat.

Plan what happens after the lift

Tell us whether you need cleaning, maintenance time or longer storage. Include your ideal haul-out window and how long you expect the work to take. If you have contractors or deliveries in mind, discuss these before committing to dates. A practical job list helps connect vessel handling, yard space and the next stage of your project.

Arrange your visit

Send the boat details first, then speak with the team about availability, arrival arrangements and any additional information needed. If your plans change or you uncover new information about the vessel, update the yard before arrival. Keeping the enquiry specific makes it easier to move from an initial conversation to an agreed plan.

What to include in your enquiry

  • Catamaran make, model and photographs
  • Overall length, beam, draft and weight
  • Available lifting and support information
  • Preferred dates, work scope and storage needs

Your questions, answered.

Does the 60 tonne rating confirm my catamaran will fit?

No. Vessel dimensions, hull configuration and handling requirements also matter. The team must confirm suitability for the individual boat.

Can I enquire before I know all the measurements?

Yes. Send the information you have and identify what is unconfirmed. The team can explain which details are needed to assess the enquiry.
